Our Transitional Classroom is designed for children over 2.2 years old to 3 years, who are no longer little toddlers but not quite ready for the “big kid” classroom. This special stage bridges the gap between toddlerhood and preschool, helping children grow in confidence, independence, and social skills.
In this classroom, we focus on potty training, self-help skills, and early social development. Children are encouraged to practice dressing and undressing, washing hands, cleaning up after activities, and making simple independent choices throughout the day. Teachers provide gentle guidance and positive reinforcement to support each child’s individual pace.
Our daily routine includes structured activities, free play, music and movement, story time, and hands-on learning experiences that promote language development, fine motor skills, and cooperation with peers. A nurturing environment and consistent routines help children feel safe, supported, and proud of their growing independence.
The Transitional Classroom helps prepare children emotionally, socially, and developmentally for the next step into preschool
